I totally agree with you Ash, the game feels like Skate 2 with some extra features. The most negative thing about the game for me was the environment to be honest, to me it felt like they went too far to make it a “skating paradise” and forgot a bit about the realistic approach to the environments.
I mean skating inside a ship, the ridiculous ramps etc. It just made me miss the awesome part of Old Town in Skate 1 & 2. Sure the game is pretty when it comes to the environments but heck it didn’t feel realistic to me. Other than that it’s a decent game for those who like the Skate-series.
Let me know what you think about Crackdown 2 as well, I was thinking about getting it. Can’t wait to go online with my Xbox 360 at the end of the month when we get the Broadband installed in the apartment. I’ve been dying to play Gears of War 2 again.

@Christoffer Glad you agree. I think a couple of people who have commented on this via YouTube have disagreed. I’m definitely a bigger fan of Skate than 2 and 3, and it just goes to show that sometimes it’s okay to keep things simplified. Unless they polish the off-board physics, though I seem to be the only person who finds that aspect of the game infuriating?

Well it’s better than the tank-control system they had in Skate 2 that’s for sure but it doesn’t feel natural at all. Like in Hardcore mode you run faster than you skate, getting on the board and starting off is so slow so every time I just run and jump up on the board.
Yeah the first Skate game was awesome, everything so new and exciting, loved the map even though it was down-hill. I feel like they should spend some time and try to make the series grow another step, not just a small step like Skate 2 and 3, but bigger. Hopefully we’ll get to see some interesting things.
Hmm. Uhh. Yeah. Skyrim. It’s massive. The quests are never-ending. My character has a mohawk. My class is Breton. Don’t
