I’ve played Call of Duty-series and Medal of Honor-series though but I’m really tired of WWII. Brothers in Arms was okay, liked the tactical gameplay but in the end didn’t keep me interested that long.

I never owned a Playstation back in the day so I didn’t get a chance to play Medal of Honor and Medal of Honor: Underground. But I remember the glorious day when I got to play the first Medal of Honor game for the PC (Allied Assault) it was magical.

The graphics were awesome and you played out the glorious event of D-day, storming the beach of Omaha. I remember looking around seeing these frightened soldiers waiting for the doom and the boat/ship thing to land. Great stuff.

I’m really sick of the WWII-genre right now, I would love to see some more sci-fi games though and first-person fantasy games. (checkout “project offset”).

Haha, i remember the stealth mission, it was awesome.

Back in the days when MOH: Allied Assault came out, it was gorgeous! It sets a standard for WWII shooters. At first everyone thought, CoD is a MoH clone. I hope they learned from the mistakes they made with Airborne and hope the best for the new MoH :)

I loved MoH back on the Playstation! Although it feels a bit horrid going back to such an old game, it’s still one of my favourite retro-PS1 indulgences. I only went as far as the Allied Assault war chest on PC though, they seemed to lose there way a bit, and however much i enjoy the WW2 settings, they started running out of ideas!

On a tangent, I really like your video ramblings, they’re nice to listen to in the background whilst doing important internet stuff such as erm….eBay?

Completely agree about Airborne. I was quite disappointed with it, especially after the original, Frontline and Allied Assault plus expansions (never played Rising Sun or Pacific Assault). I have many fond memories of playing Allied Assault online, the ridiculous look of people using the leaning keys rapidly to dodge bullets will forever be burned into my mind :D

I do have hope for the new game, perhaps the move away from WWII will give it new life, if they learn from their mistakes in Airborne of course. They at least have to compete with CoD:MW and BF:BC, which are both fantastic games so they are in for quite a challenge.

Dammit, this has got me itching to play MoHaa again!
