Aside: I’m Ditching Chris Redfield For A Camp Japanese Dude

I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Resident Evil started off brilliantly, and I was really enjoying myself, but now I can’t muster up any enthusiasm to play it. I’m finding myself in a bit of a gaming slump to be honest. But I know what the cure is - for me at least; to lose myself in a Japanese Role Playing Game. Oh yes.

Originally I was planning on going back to Lost Odyssey for a second run through (if you’re a JRPG fan but haven’t played LO, get on it!). However, a friend said he had a spare copy of Infinite Undiscovery if I wanted it. There’s a lot of mixed reviews about it, but I love playing a game you expect to be shit. You’re always pleasantly surprised. And JRPGs always have the funniest and campest dialogue. So, expect a video review (providing it runs in bloody Pal 50).

Hey Will. It’s nice to have another JRPG fan stop by. Lost Odyssey is so far my favourite, so it’s a shame you found it to be too slow. PSU was mainly designed to be played online, no? If I’m wrong I might give it a go.

[...] Resident Evil 5 was a struggle to remain enthused about from start to finish. Perhaps it was because I expected something atmospheric and scary, which, in my opinion, was completely absent. Maybe it was because my attention span had suffered badly as a result of recently getting dumped (yeah, that relationship didn’t last long). Or perhaps it was simply the abysmal AI that hampered the whole experience (I did return to Resi 5 with a friend later in the year and had a much better experience playing through the campaign on co-op). So I ditched Chris Redfield for a camp Japanese dude. [...]
