Nice job on the video review, Ash! I miss doing videos myself, but never did the voice overs. Found it to be just too time consuming, and had to jump through too many hoops to record video from a console on my iMac. Might get back into it again one day, though. Definitely adds value for the reader.

It was actually your tutorial I followed on how to set things up, so a big thanks for that. I found this quite tricky to do - a lot of back and forth, but I’m sure I’ll find my flow and it will get easier. I’ll also address the imbalance with the audio and tighten up my editing. You should get back into it. Even though it adds value for the reader, it’s actually quite fun to do, and makes a welcome change to written posts.

Great review, I enjoyed watching it. I am glad to see that I’m not the only person that gets overly frustrated with this game, I too spend considerable amount of time cursing at it. Especially at the other skaters in challenges, I can’t tell you how many times they’ll run into me right as I’m about to complete my task.

Super video review Ash. I find Skate 2 equal amounts of frustration and joy, which I think is akin to how a real skateboarder would feel until they pull off the perfect line. Look forward to your future video reviews!

This is my pick up and play any time game, for me it had all the thing missing in the first one, & speaking as someone who skated for 10+ years the realism is awesome. I think I even like the frustration this game causes, it makes the victory feel oh so sweet! I lost track of the amount of times it took me to do the Koston & Carroll game of skate at the end! I found that rocking out a few 540s soon put them in their place though. :)

Nice video review, about the walking around part : it’s wierd since it’s a modified version of the regular skating mechanic, therefore you turn your character as you would do if you were on a skateboard.

I love the game as well, it’s really really good, but I have found it to be kind of repetitive lately. Mostly the ares between all the cool spots are just…roads..and benches. It feels like you could do something more creative with all the roads in-between.

I would love to actually work at EA Black Box.
